Bellwether's newest installment of our liturgical arts series. For Advent this year we are exploring the O Antiphons as a devotional resource for the days leading up to Christmas. The "O" Antiphons are an ancient set of prayers exploring images of Christ in the Old Testament. Most of us know this prayer as the basis for the advent hymn "O Come, O Come Emmanuel."

December 19: O Radix Jesse (O Root of Jesse)
December 20: O Clavis David (O Key of David)
December 21: O Oriens (O Dayspring)
December 22: O Rex Gentium (O King of the Nations)
December 23: O Emmanuel (O With Us is God)

The devotional includes meditations on each antiphon, original designs were constructed by Blake Johnson and Sayde Anderson with some liturgical support for family or group worship.
